The JW-RS Simulator known as the JW-R.C.S (Race Car Simulator) has been in development for almost a decade, drawing on 20 years of on and off track race car experiance and using in-house developed hardware and sofware, it really is like no other simulator you've used before.

Using a custom designed curved screen along with advanced pre-render software the forward view is almost 100% life size.

Its primary USP is to allow drivers to ‘feel’ more connected to a car in a safe and comfortable simulated environment.

Many two or four 'post' type simulators only move the drivers seat in an attempt to re-create the initial g-force applied to a driver during high load situations. However, it’s impossible for these types of simulators to keep sustained g-forces applied to the driver, as such they feel more like a fair-ground ride ‘throwing’ the driver around which many profesonal drivers will tell you is not a good recreation of reality.

Whilst this type of simulator has its place and can be good fun, they have a tendency to overload the user with false inputs and can, after a while, make the most hardened professional driver suffer from motion sickness. With so much false movement going on, these types of simulators can lose the important subtle sensations a driver really needs to feel.

Professional race track drivers will always say that the most important sensation you need to feel is what the 'rear end' of the car is doing, thus allowing one to drive the car at the edge of the available grip, it is this sensation that fast drivers use to get those extra few tenths, the so-called “driving by the seat of your pants”.

The JW-R.C.S has been designed to focus on the physics of the rear end of the car in its motion control system and is implemented in a totally unique way. There is no other known simulator that recreates this feeling in the way that the JW-RS Simulator does.

The J.W-R.C.S features an advanced force-feed-back steering system using a powerful 20Nm three-phase servo motor and a high precision encoder that allows for fast and precise control of the car.

A set of pro race pedals ensure that your feet feel exactly what they would in a real race car. The hydraulic brake pedal can be adjusted to suit a prefred brake pressure in the range of 20 -120 bar.

A custom, in-house developed multifunction dashboard displays all important information including fuel use, tyre temps, lap times and delta's. All lap and car telemetry data is recorded and can be analyzed in detail after you've finished a session.

Additional unique sensory feed-back systems complete the immersion and after a while you'll forget you’re in a simulator. All of these features make the JW-R.C.S a powerful off-track learning and teaching tool.
